  4.     RESIGNATION RESCINDED. By Frances Conley, 51, professor of
  5. neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine; in
  6. Stanford, Calif. Conley announced last May that she was quitting
  7. the faculty after 16 years because of demeaning comments and
  8. sexist harassment by her male colleagues. The medical center has
  9. appointed a task force on discrimination and committees to
  10. review Conley's charges. Declaring herself satisfied with the
  11. administration's initial steps, Conley decided this month to
  12. continue teaching.
